The Lomax family is responsible, beginning in 1908 through the mid-60's, for collecting and recording 5,500 songs, laments, stories and general oral history which would have potentially been lost to the ages. Among favorites assembled include, "Home On the Range," "The BuffaloSkinners," and "Git Along Little Dogies."
